Festival of borsch in Borshchiv
The festival is held annually borsch in the central town square Borschiv, who in September became the capital of Ukrainian cooking. Local housewives compete in cooking national dish, which in ancient times gave the name to this small settlement.According to legend, when the Turks captured the city, they wanted to taste the local cuisine. One of the housewives cooked their borscht. However, they all the time something is not liked. Finally, an enraged cook struck by their chief scoop on the head and drowned in the borscht.
Therefore the city so named - Borshchiv.
The festival mistress Borshiv area everyone treat their soup, give master classes, and also hosts various contests, auctions, sales and parade.
