"Vaginart" in Kiev PinchukArtCentre
The women's movement FEMEN staged action "Vaginart" in Kiev`s PinchukArtCentre in protest against the exhibition of Sergey Bratkov. Activists of FEMEN February 2, 2010 at 19:00 undressed down to his underwear, in Ukrainian wreaths and sunglasses, with placards in their hands "The Ukraine - not vagina!"and "Vaginart" staged photo session on the floor near the scandalous work of Bratkov "Khortytsya", in which the author captures a girl in embroidered shirts, demonstrating their sexual organs.Photo session lasted only 10 seconds, so as PinchukArtCentre's security arrived activists and brought the girls from the building.
According to the organization FEMEN, their action they decided to "further emphasize the "pseudo- psychological" and "sharp realism" of paintings". In FEMEN stressed that their protest called "frankly pornographic content installation Bratkov".
